We spent the weekend at Inks Lake SP to spend time with family. The park was alive with hikers, bikers, swimmers, fishing, campers, paddle boaters kayakers, and most important chillaxers. The hiking trails offer a variety of challenges. The staffers and rangers were super helpful and we avoided the bad weather predictions.Inks Lake State Park is located about an hour's drive north of Austin in Burnet County. It's an easy and scenic drive across Route 29 or up Route 281, depending on where in Austin you come from.
